 Double super move?

I was using mario when this happened.
I got the smash ball (YAY) and did the super move in the air. The animation started, 1 second later kirby hit me in the back with his annoying side attack and the animation restarted.
This meant that 2 fire lasers happened AT THE SAME TIME!

If you guys can, try to reconfirm it, cause I can't be 100% sure that it was a one time thing.

The only thing similar that happened to me was i was using mario and i got the smash ball but when i pressed the button to use it, kirby hit me and it canceled it out taking away my final smash.
