Will there be an animation of the character when you select them like how it was in smash bros 64?

Good idea its better than what brawl done just put a portait of a character doing nothing BORING.

If you remember the demo showed before was V0.1, thus since the next release is going to be called V0.2 its a safe bet to assume there are going to be progressing versions. We can add stuff as we get closer to completion, but I would much prefer we work on the essential stuff first. Animations when selecting a character I do not consider essential. Getting some working characters and some working menus should be higher priority then making animations for selecting characters.

The background looks like a gameboy advance game background.
