I've played Duke Nukem Forever recently. :) Since Duke Nukem 3D is one of my favourite games of all time, I was looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever ever since it was given a release date. Unfortunately... it's... urm... well... I'd describe it as "Pffft". It's so painfully average that I don't even have the motivation to play it. Shame, really. :(
Game of the year for me so far is either Bulletstorm (which was the most fun I've had in a shooter since Fur Fighters) or Dynasty Warriors 7 (which impressed me, it showed me how immersive Koei's games can be when they really try). And I can't decide between them since they're completely different genres. :P
Can't overlook the indie games though - I found that Bejeweled 3, Hoard and Terraria were really good fun, too. :D

I never played Dynasty warriors of any of there games. I usually try to stay away from any type of Asian RPG's or action adventures. I found alot of them to be the same but probably my favorite game every which the anime series AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER STOLE, is Jade Empire. The last airbender stole there plot entirely. If you don't believe me I can prove it, Jade empire stars an Asian male who is the last of the Spirit monks. After his home was raided he escaped to a new area to live. In which he trained in martial arts and throughout the story you learn to use the 4 elements along with other chinese martial arts. The character you play as is also after the emperor(Fire lord as they say in avatar) that way he can get his teacher back. So as you can see The last airbender stole from them. This was an asian rpg made by Bioware and as we all know Bioware always makes good RPG's

They could have stole, or it could be a coincidence. Nowadays you can't be so quick to point the finger, since most storys have been done atleast once even an original story may possibly have been done in the past.

I don't know I mean alot of the game was really close to the last airbender, I mean in jade empire since he was "The chosen one" so to say, he was the gateway between life and death. Only thing is that this game had a better story because his martial arts master actually betrays you once you kill the emperor and he becomes emperor then you have to kill him.
In other news I am PISSED AT BLACKOPS for that game being made instead of True Crime Hong Kong. The makers thought doing another call of duty was better then this game.

Activision are the ones who decided to cut the funding for that game - it's not Treyarch's fault. :P Activision thought it wasn't going to be profitable or able to compete, and since profit is what keeps a company going, they cut funding. Maybe if Activision didn't own the IPR, another publisher could've come along and offered a contract.
Sucks, cuz it did look really good. :( Strange how it was cancelled so late in development, though.
Anyhoo, I've also been playing something else recently. Anyone remember this?
The original Carmageddon for DOS, oh yeahhh. One of the greatest games ever, in my book. They're making a new one soon, Carmageddon: Reincarnation. And it's by the original developers, not some clowns who think they know what they're doing. I can't wait.

What game do you think will be better? Street fighter vs tekken or tekken vs street fighter?
Tekken vs Street fighter has the tekken gameplay Street fighter vs Tekken has the street fighter gameplay.

Ah, I didn't know about those games, hehe. I prefer Street Fighter's gameplay (because I don't totally suck at it :P), so I'd say Street Fighter vs Tekken. :) Might throw that on my rental list when its released, along with Soul Calibur V. :D

Wow I didn't know there was gonna be another soul calibur. I thought they said they made the last one already, but I will get the one with tekken gameplay. I just don't like using the control stick to perform techniques because I could never remember the ones for a specific attack so I would always check back at the move list.

I'm the opposite - I can't remember strings of button presses, but I'm alright at remembering control stick movements. Still, that said, fighting games aren't my strong point. A lot of players can easily hammer me online. :P Still fun, though.
Another game I've been playing recently - Terraria. It's like Minecraft, only with one less dimension and more focus on adventuring and combat, hence it doesn't get boring in about 3 hours. And it has a billion less bugs. And looks prettier. And it gets major updates every week or so, not minor updates every God-knows how long. And it's a third of the price. :P But I'm getting carried away, so here's a screenie:
We're quite immature, by the way. :P

It could quite possibly mean exactly that.

Hahaha, well, China would be easier to survive in. Jackie Chan would be easier to fight, as well. :P If you dig far enough, you reach hell, full of lava designed to turn you into a crispy snack for the monsters there, which range from overpowered to just plain cheap. :P
I've only ever played Final Fantasy X and XIII. I thought FFX was good overall (although annoying at points), but FFXIII was utter crap. It felt as if it was designed to be watched rather than played. I've been meaning to give some of the older FF games a try, though. :)

Yea I hated the gameplay of 13 it was like a mix of real time combat and old school rpg's. The new FF13 looks cool though, Final fantasy versus 13 that looks like it will be really good.

Anyone played God Hand? I've been playing it again recently, thanks to an emulator. It's a beat-em-up which is more difficult than picking up the moon with one finger, but it's really, really awesome, and has a crapton of often crude comic relief.
DING!! *random audience laughs* I love it.

Y'know we were talking about game of the year a while ago? Well... I just played Child of Eden today. And all I can say is "Whoa." It's got my vote for game of the year. And the only thing that can stop it is TES IV: Skyrim.
Daamn, it feels good just LOOKING at it.
